CopperCross is a rather shut-in and quiet individual, often keeping to himself and his close circle of loved ones. He plays a protective role in the lives of those he is closest with, and isn't afraid to speak his mind straight-up when it comes down to it.

As well as a singer, Copper is a part-time burlesque performer who goes under the alter-ego of "Rusty Risque".

CopperCross is a feline-human hybrid, and can transform into a cat at will.

His cat form is a ginger-tabby domestic shorthair.

He is heavily derived and based from Dav-P's cat, Rusty.

History

2017

  • Up until 2021, all of CopperCross' releases were posted to SoundCloud. All of these releases have since been removed and are no longer public.

  • CopperCross was originally released alongside his counterpart SilverCross on May 2nd, 2017. His first voicebank was titled "CV v1.0", and it was a monopitch CV Japanese voicebank. After a period of time, the voicebank was renamed to "CV PURR" due to it's soft tone.

  • His second voicebank, "CV v2.0", was a bipitch CV Japanese voicebank released June 21st, 2017.

  • "CVVC JP", a monopitch CVVC Japanese voicebank, and "CV-VV HISS", a monopitch CV-VV Japanese shouting voicebank, were both released July 27th, 2017.

  • "VCCV ENG v1", a monopitch VCCV English voicebank, was released August 6th, 2017

  • "VCCV ESP", a monopitch VCCV Spanish voicebank, was released September 9th, 2017

  • "VCV JP v1.0", a monopitch VCV Japanese voicebank was released December 31st, 2017

2018-2020

  • During this point in time, CopperCross went on a hiatus due to multiple reasons; including his creator, Dav-P, taking a hiatus from UTAU in 2019 through 2020 to focus on other things.

2021

  • On November 6th, 2021, the Official Twitter Account for CopperCross was created and a teaser was posted, suggesting a comeback with a new voicebank.

  • A second teaser was posted on November 13th, 2021, announcing the release and names of "-ネコ科-" and "-ネコ科mini-", two multipitch VCV Japanese voicebanks. This tweet developed into a thread showcasing various demos of these two voicebanks over the coming days and weeks. The release dates for these voicebanks would be later announced to be December 3rd, 2021.

  • "R18", a monopitch CV Japanese moaning joke voicebank was released on November 26th, 2021, as a joke that would tease for the official release of Copper's upcoming voicebanks.

  • "-ネコ科-" and "-ネコ科mini-", alongside -MONO-, a monopitch VCV Japanese voicebank, were released December 3rd, 2021, officializing the comeback and re-release of CopperCross.

  • "-ねこ-", a pentapitch CV Japanese voicebank, was released January 3rd, 2022.

  • "-ENGLISH-", a custom monopitch CVVC English voicebank, and "-ENGLISH- (Delta ver.)", a custom monopitch X-Sampa CVVC English voicebank, were released December 31st, 2021.

2022-Present

  • On May 3rd, 2022, a cover of Kuroneko was posted to Dav-P's YouTube channel celebrating CopperCross and SilverCross' 5th anniversary.

  • "-ヒッス-", a pentapitch + growl CVVC Japanese shouting voicebank, was released September 6th, 2022.

  • "-LION-", a bipitch VCCV English voicebank, was released January 8th, 2023.

  • On February 14th, 2023, Dav-P released an Original Song titled "Paraphilia" featuring CopperCross.
